For years, society has openly discussed menopause and the physical, emotional, and hormonal changes women experience. It’s an important conversation—and rightly so.
But what about men?
Many people don’t realize that men also experience age-related hormonal changes, commonly referred to as andropause. Unlike menopause, which typically occurs over a shorter period, andropause often develops gradually. Because of that, many men simply assume they’re “getting older” and ignore the signs.
What Is Andropause?
Andropause refers to the gradual decline of testosterone that can occur as men age, often beginning in their late 30s or 40s. Not every man experiences it the same way, but common symptoms may include:
Persistent fatigue
Reduced energy
Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
Mood changes or irritability
Decreased muscle mass
Slower workout recovery
Joint and muscle discomfort
Lower libido
Poor sleep quality
Reduced motivation
These changes can affect relationships, work performance, confidence, physical health, and even mental well-being.
The good news is that you don’t have to ignore them.
My Mission
As the founder of Glacier Chill Mobile & Onsite Cryotherapy, I’ve spent years educating my clients about inflammation, recovery, pain management, and overall wellness.
One thing I’ve noticed is that many men wait until their bodies force them to slow down before seeking help.
My goal is to change that.
The conversation around men’s health needs to become just as normal as every other wellness conversation.
How Targeted Cryotherapy Can Help
At Glacier Chill, we specialize in targeted cryotherapy using a localized handheld device—not a cryotherapy chamber.
This allows us to focus treatment exactly where your body needs it most.
Targeted cryotherapy may help:
Reduce inflammation
Relieve joint and muscle soreness
Support faster recovery after exercise
Improve mobility
Help you stay active
Support overall wellness and recovery
Promote an improved sense of physical well-being
While targeted cryotherapy does not treat hormone deficiencies or replace medical evaluation or hormone therapy, it can be an excellent complementary therapy as part of a comprehensive men’s health plan.
Men’s Mental Health Matters Too
June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and the conversation goes beyond physical symptoms.
Many men silently carry stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional exhaustion because they believe they have to “tough it out.”
Strength isn’t suffering in silence.
Strength is taking action.
That action may include:
Talking with your healthcare provider
Having your hormone levels evaluated
Exercising consistently
Improving nutrition
Prioritizing sleep
Managing stress
Investing in recovery
Your body—and your mind—deserve both.
Don’t Wait Until Your Body Makes the Decision for You
Whether you’re an athlete, entrepreneur, first responder, father, or simply someone who wants to continue living an active life, your health deserves attention.
Ignoring the signs won’t make them disappear.
Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish.
It’s necessary.
If you’ve been experiencing persistent soreness, slower recovery, fatigue, or inflammation, let’s have a conversation about whether targeted cryotherapy could become part of your wellness plan.
Your health. Your recovery. Your future.
